The best wines to pair with Black Bean Burgers are fruity reds with smooth tannins and a hint of smoke and spice, such as Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Beaujolais, Zinfandel, and Ribera Del Duero.  Black Bean Burgers are known for their savoury, earthy flavours, and can be made even more delicious by adding toppings, seasonings and herbs.

Thus, with any red wine you choose, you want to stick to medium-bodied, with plenty of Acidity. I personally feel like Cabernet Franc is the best red wine with Black Bean Burgers, however, I’m used to a more smoky and herbaceous Black Bean Burger, where the herb and green pepper flavours of Cabernet Franc shine. A medium-bodied Zin also goes over really well due to the wines high acidity and smoky/spicy notes. Similarly, with Malbec from Argentina, you’ll get soft tannins and notes of smoke, spice, earth and black cherries that complement and contrast the black bean burgers.
